Tempeh Preparation & Storage

Tempeh prep

Tempeh is incredibly versatile. Use it in:

  • Tacos

  • Reubens and other sandwiches

  • Italian dishes, including Bolognese sauce

  • Asian dishes

  • Salads

Our favorite cooking method:

  1. Slice thin.

  2. Fry in olive oil on medium-low heat.

  3. Flip when golden. Add soy sauce, coconut aminos, or spices.

  4. Serve plain or dip in BBQ sauce, pesto, or ketchup.

Other prep ideas:

  • Marinate in Italian flavors (lemon, garlic, capers) or Asian-style sauces (soy, ginger, lemongrass).

  • Simmer in broth with garlic, onions, and ginger.

  • Make your own tempeh bacon or pepperoni—just slice, marinate, and fry!
